Fun Photo Shoot

I have a long way to go on my photography skills. But that doesn't keep me from enjoying taking pictures, when I love my subject matter. This particular dress was a special order. The dresses are fun to make, and look good in so many prints and colors. They also look so cute on, and as my girls have found, are very easy to play in.

Stripping Wax

Yuck! Can you believe I let my board get this gross? It's probably been about a year since I've stripped the wax off, and it sure needs it, badly. Luckily for me, today I had a willing helper. There's nothing like a little clean up work to make the old, new again.

We....Love.....Christmas.....

Merry Christmas, everyone!! We had a blast of a day, lots of playing, clothes changing, drawing, beading, movie watching. We visited family earlier in the week, and so today was a complete stay at home in your jammies day. Daddy got out to check the waves, but even he decided that the ocean was too stormy this Christmas day. So we're all snug in the house reveling in this so special of a day.

She Unloads

Pardon my cluttery shelves, but do you see this girl? She's unloading the dishwasher for me! Her normal job after dinner is to unload the dishes, but since she's still just barely taller than the counter tops she leaves them there for me to then put up high in the cupboards. Well, tonight she decided she could put them all the way away if she used a chair. I didn't discourage that idea, no way jose, but I may not expect it everytime either.

A Great Boutique

Silly me!! I didn't take any pictures to show you! I had a blast last night at my friend Lindsey's Christmas Boutique. She hosted it at her beautiful home, newly remodeled, freshly decorated, oozing with her creativity. There was about ten of us there to sell, with guests arriving all evening. Everyone was so festive and friendly. I only had a couple weeks to prepare, so I didn't have much, I wished I had more! I was so encouraged by everyone's complimentary remarks, and I did sell much more than I anticipated. My wonderful friend Toni came along with me for moral support (and thank goodness she did! that rack my husband made for me must've weighed about 70 lbs., and we had to bring it up two flights of stairs!) I met so many wonderful people, and ate too many wonderful treats.

Soon to come....my etsy shop filled with crotcheted visor hats, and a giveaway of one of those hats....

I really enjoy making hats. In the summertime it's hats to wear on those sunny beach days, which my family has many of. Now that it's nearing winter, at least that's what the calendar says (where we live it's still rather pleasant outside), it's time to make cozy hats. I love this style with the brim on it, for the very reason that we still get a lot of sunshine in our neck of the woods, even when the days start to chill off. I also like getting to work with yarn, all cozy on the couch, and I don't have to drag out the sewing machine (which must weigh at least 50lbs.) The side button on these actually serves no purpose other than to boost the cuteness factor, it would be down right dull without it!
